Illegal Immigration

I received this in my email today - you know the usual SPAM rubbish that shows up from time to time because your Friends figure you need this stuff. Anyway - this one was really meaningful because it pretty much reflects the views that many of us have about illegal immigration. I am sick and tired of paying tax dollars to support people that are here illegally:

A lady wrote the best letter in the Editorials in ages!!
It explains things better than all the baloney you hear on TV.

Recently large demonstrations have taken place across the country protesting the fact that Congress is finally addressing the issue of illegal immigration.

Certain people are angry that the US might protect its own borders, might make it harder to sneak into this country and, once here, to stay indefinitely. Let me see if I correctly understand the thinking behind these protests.

Let's say I break into your house. Let's say that when you discover me in your house, you insist that I leave. But I say, "I've made all the beds and washed the dishes and did the laundry and swept the floors; I've done all the things you don't like to do. I'm hard-working and honest (except for when I broke into your house).

According to the protesters, not only must you let me stay, you must add me to your family's insurance plan, educate my kids, and provide other benefits to me and to my family (my husband will do your yard work because he too is hard-working and honest, except for that breaking in part). If you try to call the police or force me out, I will call my friends who will picket your house carrying signs that proclaim my right to be there.

It's only fair, after all, because you have a nicer house than I do, and I'm just trying to better myself. I'm a hard-working and honest, person, except for well, you know.

And what a deal it is for me!! I live in your house, contributing only a fraction of the cost of my keep, and there is nothing you can do about it without being accused of selfishness, prejudice and being an anti-housebreaker. Oh yeah, I want you to learn my language so you can communicate with me.

Why can't people see how ridiculous this is?! Only in America....if you agree, pass it on (in English). Share it if you see the value of it as a good smile. If not, blow it off along with your future Social Security funds, and a lot of other things.

Why is it that these people figure that we owe them their lives. If they want the American dream, we will welcome you - if you do it legally, and follow the rules like you are supposed to. It's not my fault and not my problem that you weren't born here, and I will not pay my tax money to take care of you while you suck us dry so that you can be comfortable.

You're Violating My Constitutional Rights!

I had to laugh. Today I was in the break room at work, and I couldn’t help but over hear two guys arguing about what constitutes “profiling” or not, and furthermore the constitutionality of it. Anyway – the argument evolved into whether or not it was okay to screen people in an airport on their way to their flights.

Okay – here’s where I find people to be the dumbest species on this planet: After 9/11, people were running around bitching about why these people were not properly screened at airports. Now that we are being screened, people are bitching about their constitutional rights. That will last until the next time someone hijacks a plane and rams it into Sears Tower – then they will go back to bitching about why people aren’t being screened.

Make up your minds, folks! Just my $.02 here, but I am an American with nothing to hide – if someone makes me take off my shoes and x-rays my bags before I get on a flight, then that is fine with me. I have nothing to hide. And any American with nothing to hide should feel the same way. And if they take some extra time to inspect the person of a suspicious acting middle-eastern, so be it. If they have nothing to hide, they will be on their way to their flight.

Today people will bitch about this, and then tomorrow jump on a new bandwagon to bitch about that. My dog has more intelligence than most people!

Israel versus Hezbollah

The U.S. is pretty much giving the green light to Israel to attack Hezbollah. Well, I say go for it. Why should we be placating terrorist organizations at the expense of our relationship with Israel? The United States needs to clearly understand that a good relationship with Israel is vital to our own survival as a country. We turn our backs on Israel only at risk of our own destruction.

It's all these damn liberals that are calling for the placating of these terrorist organizations. Appease them and they will be our friends. Yeah right - they will come to or country, get educated, maybe spy on us a little, and ram another airplane into a skyscraper. All in the name of God. Well, the God I believe in doesn't call for the beheading of innocents or demand that we blow ourselves up in a crowded market. Yeah - let's appease those terrorist bastards and while we're at it just invite them to our homes so they can kill us.

I firmly believe that God will deal with nations in part based on their treatment of Israel. We can turn around this nonsense of placating terrorists and we can reaffirm our loyalty with Israel. To do otherwise will assure our own future destruction.
