Designed To Kill As Many People As Possible?!

This NRA-ILA article speaks to the rabid and incredible misunderstanding (and fear) possessed by the left of firearms. It also speaks to their complete lack of knowledge about firearms and their refusal to understand firearms usage facts, which leads to their inability make sound decisions when it comes to the legislation of firearms.

In the article, the lawmakers of Wisconsin say they want to ban so-called "assault weapons" and most other types of firearms because they are “designed to kill large numbers of people quickly.”

In fact, it appears they are taking a shotgun approach (pun intended) to just ban any and all firearms they can think of. I am not sure they even know enough about firearms to know what kinds of guns can perform what actions, to be honest.

Hmmm.... well what d'ya know? I looked through all of the owner's manuals for all of my firearms, and in NOT ONE of these documents does it say that the firearm was designed for the explicit purpose of killing large numbers of people quickly.

A firearm has one, and only ONE purpose: To allow an operator to pull a trigger that actuates a firing pin that activates an ammunition cartridge and sends a projectile out of the barrel towards an intended target. THAT'S IT! That intended target may be a piece of paper, game being hunted, a home invader, or an invading enemy.

Killing large numbers of people is the intent of the heart of the operator of the firearm. The state of the heart may be that of a deranged and criminal mind who wants to kill as many innocent people as possible. Or the state of the heart may be a law abiding and decent citizen who wants nothing more than to protect loved ones and other innocents from a home invader or active shooter. Perhaps it's the heart of a hunter who wants to put food on the table. Or even just the heart of a sportsman who is competing in a shooting match.

The firearm itself does not have the ability to make these decisions, nor was it designed explicitly for any of these purposes.

Now I will tell you also what the 2nd Amendment was designed to do: It was designed to protect the individual RIGHT to own firearms for the purpose of protecting them from tyrannical governments and invading armies. And if it ever came to this, a firearm of the same type and action of those possessed by the invading entities was the idea of the framers when they wrote this amendment. In other words - possessing military style weapons was the intent of the framers, and is the RIGHT of individuals.

I'm not sure we're dealing with people of stellar intellect in these attempts to ban guns based solely on their perception (not knowledge) of the firearm's appearance, use, or purpose. The only thing I see in play here are people who act based on "feelings" (not knowledge) and the need to show others that they "are doing something."

Gun Confiscation - How To Make It a Reality

Recently, an article by Michelle Jesse discussed Sheriff David Clarke's insights on how gun confiscation could become a reality. The short story is (and as was mentioned in the article) that the powers that be need to "condition" the American people to get support for candidates who will further the most ardent gun control agenda. What does this "conditioning" consist of? Hint:  Notice the rise in reports of shootings lately? This isn't coincidence.  This is part of the plan.

It's as I predicted months ago. The more shootings the liberal agenda complicit media can report, the more the gun control politicians can convince low information voters that guns are evil. And if there aren't enough shootings to report, they can just as easily manufacture them. Why do you suppose there are so many alliances between the left and groups like Black Lives Matter? The more anger they can stir up, the more violence they can create.   The more divisiveness they can cause, the more likely they are to cause unrest between factions in the community.  You do remember Hillary Clinton saying that Republicans and the NRA are her enemy, right?

Sheriff Clarke (Michelle Jesse) Article:

Add to that a report today of efforts in Ohio to get more college students registered to vote... to get support for a pro Marijuana ballot measure.

"Oh, while you're at it, can you vote for these particular candidates? They support your marijuana and free stuff causes (and gun control)."

These types of efforts are being stepped up all over. And the low information voters will have no clue what they are voting for. As long as they get their dope and free stuff, they'll be snug as kittens.   Don't believe people are that stupid?  Then watch a segment or two of "Water's World" on O'Reilly's show, or catch a YouTube video of Mark Dice.  It's astounding how unbelievably ignorant many people are.  And what's even more frightening is that these same stupid people are roaming our college campuses.  But I digress.

The Republic is in trouble. Our liberty is about to breath its last unless we do something quickly. Please prepare and be ready.  Educate your family, friends, and neighbors.  Be a prepper.  Join a group of like minded people you can trust.  Because if we don't get this turned around, I fear civil war isn't far off.   And civil war is exactly what the "powers that be" are counting on to make their transformation of our country complete.

In freedom.

Another Act of Domestic Terrorism

Is everyone awake yet? Even the PC liberals can no longer look us in the eye and rationally argue that we are not at war with an entity who wishes us harm. On most of the pundit shows this evening, the question is asked: "What can America do?" with regards to protecting ourselves from the wave of radical terrorism that is surely to continue.Well instead of playing footsy with terrorists and thugs, I have a few ideas about what we can do:

1. We have a lot of highly trained warriors on active duty, serving here at home. Arm them and let them defend themselves - they are the number one target of these radical factions right now.

2. We have a lot of highly trained veterans living normal lives here at home. Let us be armed at all times, and let us do what we know how to do. Our oaths never expired. We love our fellow Americans, and are standing by willing to protect them. Many of us are tactically trained and willing to do what needs to be done.  We are more than willing to take care of things at home so that our current brothers and sisters can do their jobs without having to worry about who is taking care of their loved ones while they are gone.

3. We have about III% of the ordinary citizens who have stepped up and engaged in extraordinary training to ready themselves for militia service and other emergency response duties. Quit demonizing us, and let us train - we will be the ready response teams when the time comes.  These groups are made up of a good number of trained veterans as well.

4. There are millions of Americans who are willing to arm themselves and at least protect their homes and neighborhoods. Stop threatening to take away or limit their rights to firearms possession and self-defense.

5. There are millions of Americans who can support and help prepare. Instead of spending money on arming countries in far away lands who hate us, how about spending money on CERT and other emergency training. These folks represent the new civil defense cadres. If that's YOU, then please step up and get trained.

6. The remaining who do not fit into any of the above categories are the old, the very young, the sick, and the meek. Let the rest of us do our jobs, and do what we are capable of so that we can protect these precious citizens.

The rest of the liberals and politically correct idiots who got us here: Stay the hell out of our way. You're on your own.

Nobody Talks Like That Any More (Reprise)

As we get ready to celebrate Independence Day, 2015, I am taking a few moments to remember some of the words that our Founding Fathers used in the documents that brought this country to life.  What is important about this year’s celebration is that it just happens to be taking place leading up to an election year that could be a pivotal moment in American history for all of us who love freedom.

In the movie “Hidden Treasure,” the character played by Nicholas Cage is reading aloud a passage from the Declaration of Independence, specifically the passage that reads:

“But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such government, and to provide new guards for their future security.”

He then remarks that:

“...nobody talks like that anymore…”

Not only does no one use language like that to describe their feelings toward liberty and freedom, but I don’t run into many people these days who even talk about these ideals in the same way that our Founding Fathers did.  In fact, in one of the online discussion forums in which I regularly participate, one person even made the statement that the language used in our founding documents is obsolete.  Have we not heard this very administration make that same remark in a quest to "transform" our country?  Have we not heard a hypnotized liberal electorate make that same statement on numerous occasions?

With our establishment as a nation being well over 200 years old now,  things like liberty and freedom just don’t seem to be a major concern anymore.  Many have taken those things for granted.  I think many folks are caught up worrying about health care, wars, crime, terrorism, and the rising prices of gas and food.  With all these issues, people today don’t really think that they have time to worry about the principles of declaring independence from another country, or even the basic notions of liberty and freedom that were the driving force for our Founding Fathers.  After all, we have been independent from another country’s reign for well over 200 years now.

The concern that I have with many of these current attitudes is that it represents an overall sense of complacency toward the ideals upon which this county was built.  I am deeply concerned because our current generation of voters will be more than willing to trade some of our liberties and freedoms for promises of “change” and further socialism instead of looking for ways for us to be strong in the world's eyes once again.  I think too many people are looking at the short term gratifications, without regard to the negative effects that trading certain liberties has on our security.

I hope that as we approach our Presidential election in 2016,  Americans everywhere can take pause to be reminded of the principles that our Founding Fathers used to build this country.  I hope that we can choose the candidate who best represents those principles while preserving our liberties and security.  And when the President Elect takes the oath of office on inauguration day, I hope that he seriously thinks about the oath he is taking to “…preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.” and truly, sincerely, and heartily  means it rather than just “saying” the words because “nobody talks like that anymore.”

July 4, 2015 Message: Be Vigilant

So with all the talk about FBI and law enforcement being on high alert for possible "lone wolf" attacks this holiday weekend, I guess I should clarify what I have been telling folks.

Be vigilant. That doesn't mean be afraid or stay home. Attend rallies, patriotic displays, and get out with your neighbors and communities. Just keep your head on a swivel and be aware of your surroundings. If something doesn't look right, trust your instincts.  Your gut is usually right.

I firmly believe that part of the terrorist tactic is to make people afraid, and make us modify our behavior.  Modifying our behavior takes away part of our freedom.  And our freedom is part of what they hate about us.  If they can get us to modify how we act, get us to fear, and get us to limit our own freedoms, then in many ways they have won.

On July 4, 2015, I will be where I normally am on any other July 4: I will be on the Kechter overpass, over I-25 in northern Colorado, waving my flag for the interstate traffic. Then I will be at the park for various festivities. I may even drive around just to see what's going on in various places.

Just because I happen to have my regular carry gun on my hip, a rifle and tactical shotty (and ammo), my body armor, my crash kit, and all my other emergency gear in the back of my vehicle, doesn't make me afraid. It makes me prepared.  I am willing to be there to back up law enforcement, if the worst should happen near me.  And I am willing to protect my fellow citizens as well.

I highly doubt that anything will happen this weekend. But if it does - Game On!

ARTICLE: When Doctors Ask About Firearms

While I have never had a doctor ask me this, I know for a fact it is happening bared in discussions with friends.  This article points out what I see to be a huge problem - that is that these medical associations are trying to enforce an agenda on us by way of our doctors.  It's bad enough that colleges and universities are indoctrinating them as medical students (well, ALL students), but then the associations further that indoctrination and use these doctors as a vehicle to intimidate patients and infringe on a Constitutionally protected right.

As the article points out, doctors, in many cases, do not know much about firearms, and are not qualified to bring discussion of them into our medical care.  They should stick to medicine and treating illness instead of extending their practice into our private lives.  Activist doctors are especially horrible.  They know even less about firearms, they just know that they don't like them, and thus feel obligated to make sure their patients feel intimidated with regards to this subject.

This article gives some great advice for dealing with this issue. The article mentions using patience and politeness when responding to these questions. That would be my advice as well.    But as for myself, I prefer a more "in your face" approach.  If ever asked about firearms ownership, I will very sternly inform that that if they insist on asking me that question, they better also ask me if I possess and typewriters, bibles, lawyers, or any of the other things that go with the other rights as enumerated in the Bill of Rights.  Otherwise, the answer is "I refuse to answer that question."

VIDEO: Front Sight Focus - How To Instantly Shoot Like a Navy SEAL

Self defense is one thing that you will hear me preaching over and over.  And the use of firearms in your self defense repertoire is, in my opinion, the  most effective for what I am pretty sure we are about to face.  Being able to shoot effectively and accurately will save lives, as well as saving precious ammo.  Making every shot count will be a life saver!

Try these drills.  This method works! In all my years teaching firearms techniques, I have found that my students have the most difficulty with aiming because they really don't know where to put their focus.  Front sight focus is absolutely the key to having the ability to shoot consistently and accurately.

Your eyes have muscles and nerves that enable them to move and focus. Doing these drills builds muscle memory.  So don't be afraid to begin slowly.  By being slow and deliberate, you will do things the same way every time.   Doing these movements slowly and deliberately will cause your eye muscles to learn and "burn in" the desired motion and function.  This will allow you to begin speeding up these movements, and work up to acquiring your target more quickly.  You will find that by repetition,  you will be able to acquire targets more quickly, make defensive decisions more quickly, and shoot more accurately.

Shoot safely, be accurate!

RIP First Amendment!

OK, here's the deal: I have a couple of friends who are gay. I have gay colleagues and acquaintances. I will support their human rights, and rights as American citizens, to the death if necessary. So don't tell me that what I am about to say is about my hatred of gay people. It is not. I love them as humans and fellow citizens of America, as I do all of the people of our country.

But the definition of marriage was given to us by the Creator of the Universe long before this feckless president came into office, and long before this unelected black robed gang of elitist thugs took the bench. Marriage is defined as the joining of two people to become one flesh, and it is to be one man and one woman, PERIOD.

Equal rights under the law for gay people? Absolutely.

Civil unions for gay people so that they can make medical care and financial decisions with and for their partner, and enjoy all of the other rights and legal protections that that entails? Absolutely.
But defining that as marriage? NO!

The supreme court has more or less created an environment where 1st amendment rights will no longer apply to those who oppose gay marriage. They have also pretty much nullified state's rights with this ruling. Be prepared for churches to have their tax exempt status taken away for preaching the Gospel, which teaches that marriage is between one man and one woman. Be prepared to see talk radio hosts pulled off the air for alleged "hate speech" every time they voice their opinion about it. And fellow conservatives - be prepared to be labeled as haters for holding dear and voicing your beliefs about this issue. No big deal? I hope you still feel that way when you lose your job because of what you believe.

I take huge offense at this president illuminating the White House in rainbow colors just to celebrate this ruling. He's essentially doing a victory dance, and rubbing it in our faces that he got his way. Never mind that he is supposed to be the president for ALL American people, but is going out of his way to alienate millions of us by this action. A more mature and more statesman-like president would have simply heard the ruling and retired for the day without going to the trouble to direct his house slaves to put up rainbow lighting.
So what do we do? Get educated, quick fast and in a hurry - we need to turn this around. As one of my dearest friends would say: "Read a damn book!" And the book I suggest you read right now is "The Liberty Amendments" by Mark Levin. He outlines a constitutional amendment that would limit the power of these black robed elitist thugs, and give the power and final say back to the Congress and the State Legislatures where it belongs. The purpose of the SCOTUS is not to make laws, like they have more or less done in this case. Their job is to interpret current laws, and whether or not they are constitutional. I'm going to read it again.

Do I sound angry? Yeah - I'm mad as hell. Not at gay people, but at a president, Congress, and SCOTUS that have lost their way, and are trampling our beloved Constitution under their grimy feet.
Be well, patriots. Please pray for our nation.

Dear Patriots - Your Lives Matter

Greetings, dear patriots!  I am compelled to write to you today because I see a great deal of despair among my brothers and sisters.  We live in a very trying and dangerous time.  Our country is being torn apart by violence, racism, threats from abroad, threats from within, and a deep uncertainty that is shaking many of us to the core.  The temptation to give up is great, and that saddens me.  I have heard the sentiments of many that they feel insignificant, and that they are not making a difference.  But I am writing today to tell you that you are making a difference, and that you matter.  You matter to me, and you matter to your loved ones.

Every one of you was put on this planet for a reason. Our Creator, in His infinite and matchless wisdom, had a reason for placing you here.  You were put here to touch people's lives, the lives of people who you may not ever know or meet. The impact you will have on the people around you may seem small or even unknown to you, and you may never know in this life how you impacted someone else.  But you will have an effect on someone and greatly affect their lives.

I personally believe that when you get to Heaven, someone you have never met will walk up to you and thank you for saving their life. You will get the "deer in the headlights" look on your face, and have no clue what they are talking about. Then it will be revealed to you that the kind word you uttered, the hot meal that you gave to the homeless person on the street, the extra tip that you left a server in a restaurant, or even just the five minutes that you took to listen to someone ended up being the turning point for them that lifted them up out of despair.

No matter how difficult life in these trying times is right now, no matter how tired and worn out you feel today, rise up and meet the day with the expectation that today might be the day that you serve that purpose and change another life.

None of you are insignificant. You all have a purpose. Your lives matter.

I will leave you with a quote that I shared with a very dear friend of mine. This quote means a lot to me and has sustained me in some painful times:

"The time may be delayed, the manner may be unexpected, but sooner or later, in some form or other, the answer is sure to come. Not a tear of sacred sorrow, not a breath of holy desire, poured out in prayer to God, will ever be lost; but, in God’s own best time and way, it will be wafted back again in clouds of mercy, and fall in showers of blessings on you and those for whom you pray."

 - William Seymour Tyler

Please pray for each other, and pray for our country.

Prayers and Strength For A Better Year in 2015!

As we enter the new year 2015, I find myself lamenting the fact that our country has changed so much, and not for the better, this past year.  But I want so much to cling to hope that things will turn around, and we'll all just be able to live in peace and be left alone.  I want for my family to know safety and peace, and I want my new Grandchild to not have to fear what is happening to her country.

I think the one thing that disappoints me the most is how we seem to have ended 2014 - on a note of racial division and hatred. Some in our black community have allowed themselves to become useful idiots by the likes of Al Sharpton, Eric Holder, Communist Supreme Bill De Blasio, and even the alleged "leader" of our current administration. Instead of looking towards unification (as the people above so many times promised), our citizens instead are being drawn into the web of lies that people like the aforementioned spin to deceive them and keep them down.   I really hate calling these people "useful idiots," but alas, that's what they are.  These are the people so often referred to as the "low information" crowd, because they are not willing to look at the facts.

This is a tragedy of epic proportion. Especially when you consider that there are so many good and decent people in the black community, for example, for our low information crowd to look up to instead.  People such as Dr. Alveda King, Dr. Ben Carson, Mia Love, and Deneen Borelli, just to name a few, present an awesome example for people to follow. One of my heroes, Dr. Martin Luther King would be heartbroken if he were alive today.

My heart breaks when I look at the fact that lies and distortion have led to our men and women in law enforcement to be demonized.  These people risk their lives every single day for us.  Yes, there are bad apples in law enforcement.  But there are bad apples everywhere.  The police, Sheriffs, and other emergency responders do what they do with low pay, and now even lower respect.  Tell ya what - do away with them (or kill them as the low information crowd has been chanting for), and see how fast you get a response the next time you call 9-1-1!  And please remember - the aforementioned people of power are also the ones who want all of us disarmed.  When calling 9-1-1 no longer delivers ANY kind of response, just how long do you think we'll all survive if we have no means of self defense?!

Then, there is the still looming large threat of ISIS, international cyber-terrorists, and a myriad of other threats from abroad.  Our current leadership has painted us into a corner of weakness.  There are many in other lands who would like to exploit this.  The threats are many, and our defenses are now few, save that of the brave citizens who will stand up against these threats in spite of the perceptions created by this administration.  Preppers, Sheepdogs, and a minority of others known as the "III%er" community will do our best.  But unless the rest of America wakes up, we are in a dire and dangerous situation.

Kripes! I just want my country back. I want for my black friends, my white friends, my Asian friends, and my Hispanic friends to never again have to be afraid of each other. I want our law enforcement men and women treated with the respect they deserve.  I want ISIS and redical islam wiped from the face of the planet. I want God back in our society. And I want liberty to ring out everywhere. I want socialism vanquished from our land, and I want the power-mongers and race-baiters to be put in their rightful place.

That's all I ask. Happy 2015, everyone. Hope and prayers for a better year.  But as Thomas Paine once said:  "If there must be trouble, let it be in my day that my children will have peace."
